School Day

Our last gasp of summer had come and gone and now it's time to head to school.  My kids couldn't be happier, they love school!

Off they go:

Now Wesley,  he's the lucky one, he got to have one extra day of summer fun. So we got together with a few of his other friends in the neighborhood who had to wait the extra day and we went to this new place called Fun in Motion.  The manager/owner guy was there and saw the coupons that Heather brought with her, so since it would be slow day with kids in school he offered us an all-day unlimited pass for regular price (sweet!)

  They had some really cute things for the kids to do!  They had a few bouncy houses (one specifically for toddlers). They had this interactive floor/ipad game, where they had to jump on the bubbles and pop them...they kids loved it and there were many other games, but just like the iphone, don't know how to change the game!

Then they played laser tag (as many times as they wanted!)  Here is Wes and Rusty all geared and ready to go it, (it was Rusty and my first time playing the game! fun--if the kids don't all gang up on you!) 

And then came the COOLEST game of them all Laser Maze!  It's set up like the show Entrapment or Get Smart where they have to jump, over, through around and under all the lasers, get to the end of the room, replace the diamond with a fake diamond, it reset the lasers and you had to go back through the maze and push a button.

 It had three level of difficulty and it timed you then replayed all the top scores on the TV set throughout the day! It was really fun, so when there is someone in the room you can watch it on the TV outside to see how they are doing. Wes did great, he got within the top 5 of both the easy and medium levels.  The other two kids got TOP score on both Medium and Hard.  The guy was blown away by Wesley's friend Eddison, he said he has never seen anyone clear the hardest level without tripping a laser within 30 seconds!  (it helps that the kids fearless and lets be honest...short!  No adult could do that!) The boys played it again and again and again....seriously the best game, so fun!  I would certainly go back (hopefully we can find a good deal again!)

The next day...time to hit the books!    Wesley's off to First Grade.

  Bus comes and all my kids are gone...

Except for one!  Rusty wants to go to school too! Pool kid, it's boring staying home with mom all day!  (we need to put him into preschool!)

 Rusty anxiously waits for the afternoon bus to drop off his best friends so he can play with someone.

Had to post, he's going to kill me, but poor Joshie not only got and expander (so did Mily) but he also had to wear Head gear!  Poor kid, although it's only home and night wear...he didn't have to go to school like this!
