Halloween

We got two chances to dress up for Halloween this year.  The first one was our ward Halloween party.  They had a chili cook off that was really yummy and a lot of great desserts!  They also had a costume parade, although the kids were sad that there wasn't a costume contest, they were pretty proud of their costumes!

Then of course the other opportunity came on Halloween day. They had the parade at the end of the day instead of the beginning and so I had to come in at lunch time and help them get into their costumes.  I also got to help out in two of their class parties, so that was fun!  After the school parade (which photo's didn't turn out...they never do the kids are always walking too fast!) we went over to dad's work.  We use to do this at dad's old work so he could show off his cute kids, but at this work everyone does it to go trick or treating.  We have to buy more candy for Shawn's work trick or treating than we do for the door to door trick or treaters that come that night!

 All of Shawn's co-workers in his department dressed up like Chuck Norris. Most of them did country western Chuck, but Shawn did Kung Fu Chuck!   A few of his colleges also decided to make a haunted hallway through their area....those boys really got into it this year!  (too funny!)

 They each came home with a FULL bucket full of candy (crazy huh!)  So we took out all the yummy candy and stuck the rest in our main bucket for the trick or treaters that night (isn't that awful?)

 We grabbed a quick bite to eat for dinner then the kids got dressed up again to head out for the "real" trick or treating.

 Everyone is ready to go (Chuck had to go with a yellow belt because Darth Vader needed his black belt back!!)

So you can see Josh's pumpkin in the bottom right had side of the picture.  At  least we got a picture of it at some point!
