Trees glorious trees!

Trees are wonderful, but ours are gone....finally!

It took a lot longer that we were expecting to get them all out of here, but it finally happened.

Oh wait, we got to start this post off right! This photo...is just for you Tiff! (she asked for a picture with me in the climbing tree!)
Tiff, I would have blown you a kiss...but I was afraid to let go of the rope!
Which by the way, the tree guys laughed pretty hard when he saw our climbing tree and rope with beaner! This is a few pictures of our 6, big, beautiful, dangerous trees. There is no longer any shade in our back yard! (sad)So, I have to tell you, my next door neighbor came over to tell me how wonderful it was that I was finally getting RID of those trees! All of my neighbors have had these in the back their back yard too (they were here before the houses were) and I am one of two who still had them in their back yard. Watching the trees come down was quite entertaining to say the least. Watching these guys climb around in trees like monkeys was awesome! We saw a guy actually jump from one tree to the other...CrAzY. Although if he would have fallen to his death in front of my kids...I would have been mad. (and of course very sad.)But even more entertaining than watching the tree guys was watching my kids watch the tree guys! Now that was funny!

Just in case you missed it (cause I wouldn't want anyone to miss a good laugh) this was the dialog:

Wesley: That kind of looks like daddy!
Mily: Yeah, but it's not! Dad can't climb that high!...he would be afraid!
Both: WOAH!

HAhahahahaha! Okay but when Shawn saw this video of the kids, he just shrugged and said...well, it's true! Gotta love kids!

I have to admit it was pretty amazing how they would tie up branches and then cut them so they could swing them away from the house...etc.

The first day they took out three threes, the three easiest tree's apparently! We were left with the other three for at least a week or so!The next time they came and took out two more trees...and oh boy those trees were a little tricky were a little tricky! Here is another fun little clip of their method of madness!

They left...leaving us with a half a tree...although, my kids were grateful that they had left the climbing tree a little longer.Then a few weeks later they got around to getting the last one down...which again was pretty tricky.

Now we were left with this:Nothing but a pile of wood! It actually was $100 cheaper to let us keep the wood! We will probably try and sell some of it...cutting down 6 tress is expensive! Um yeah, $o let us know if you need $ome wood!This is the "big stuff" that the tree guy said was horrible to handle, split and to burn. Great!...lots of that!

So there it is! Our "new" back yard...sure is going to be hot this summer! :o( We are already looking around for some replacement trees...any suggestions?

Although I'm excited to let my kids go outside even if it is a little windy (hello? Utah!) and also for Autumn when I DON'T have to rake millions of those tiny leaves! Ü
