365 Days

Can you believe it? We have lived in this house for a full year! (WaHoo!) Which also means we've been away from out last neighborhood and friends...for a whole year (ouch! We miss you!) Do you remember my post about the move?

Friday, May 29th 2009, was total chaos! You can tell I was a little overwhelmed by it...and really sick of my kids grabbing my camera and taking pictures of me!
Instead of a nice smooth move, it was..."jam as much stuff into the few rooms we were "allowed" to move our stuff into." This, and a quite a few other things, have made it so I don't have very high opinions of the people who were moving out of this house. But I'm sure they were nice enough people. But fast forward a whole 365 days later, there is such a difference. There is beauty all around....can you see it? The backpacks throw to the floor, the two sets of piano books strewn over the piano, our awesome piano bench, hubby's running shoes thrown in a corner, a reading book on the side table, the picture of our Savior Jesus Christ....it's a working, functional HOME!

There is just so much to be thankful for when we look back over this past year. A lot of great things have happened for us...we are so lucky. We're looking forward to more years just the same! Time doth softly, sweetly glide...when there's love at home!
