So we were so excited when it finally snowed enough that it didn't melt within a few hours and we were able to go sledding. The kids got home from school on early day and we hit the door running. When we first got there, there was only a handful of people there. It was so nice!
We made a few paths in the untouched snow!
If you will please note the darling white coat with fur collar on my 10 yr old son. He gets to use his mama's coat because he LOST his BRAND new EXPEN$IVE coat at school this year. We've been checking the lost and found every week...nothing. Interestingly enough...a few days later he lost his Jacket too...never to be seen again either. Hhmmmm...
There's my Mily Rose who loves the SNOW! I only had to yell at her a few times to stop eating it!
This was Rusty's first time being able to do most of the sledding and climbing by himself...he got tired pretty dang fast!

After I had a few turns going down the hill, I took a few more pictures from the bottom of the hill. It looks steeper when your looking up the hill you have to climb
Although about 30 minutes later the hill was PACKED with tons of people. We started having to stand in line and then we had a few collisions that were pretty painful...even a few teenage boys who took over the are we were at and started to try and snow board (it didn't work very well!)
So we ended up doing a few other things. Making snow angels...
and playing on the slide and swings.
Wesley only had enough energy to hang there!
After a few minutes the hill in front of the swings cleared out a little and the kids were able to do a few more runs. It was pretty fun because there were a few kid-made jumps that they were able to go off! This was the first time we tried this hill, we love the view...
but apparently it's pretty popular, cause there were a lot of people there. It also might have had something to do with the one and only day that was nice enough to go sledding!

At least we can say we were able to go sledding at least once this winter! Hopefully we will have more chances next winter!

Fun! My girls keep wanting to play in the snow too and it's been weird to only have like two snow days this winter (not that I'm complaining about the dry roads though...)
