Roller Coaster Rusty

The first time we tried to go to Lagoon this year...the weather was awful! No, really awful...like wind and rain coming sideways and trees bending almost to the breaking point. In fact I saw later on the news that there were in fact trees uprooted, fences blown over and other various problems. But we were going to go to Lagoon anyway...the tickets that we had and spent a pretty penny on a month before, were only good for that particular day! We waited in the car watching movies for as long as possible until we started to hear the chorus of "I need to go potty!"So we headed out. I had an ingenious way to keep the stroller from being soaking wet, however, Rusty didn't think it was too awesome! (Don't worry we didn't keep him under there for too long!)We got up to the entrance and there was some employee's from the company we'd gotten the discount tickets from, who told us that they were going to schedule a different day since the weather was so crappy! THANK GOODNESS!

So a week later we finally got to go...the weather was much better! Although the day didn't start off great. We left home and got all the way to Woods Cross before we realized we had forgotten the tickets!!! DUH! So we had to turn around and drive all the way back home, so we didn't get there as early as we were hoping to. Oh well, what really made the day fun was that Verlene was able to get discounted passes for all of our siblings who wanted to go! It was a blast! We had 25 of our immediate family there...plus a friend who is considered one of the family.

The first thing we did was go to the company's social and get our kids' face painted for free. Hey I don't feel too bad, I worked there for 5 years and still no a lot of the people who work there...including my sister!

Unfortunately for us the first ride we went on was Rattlesnake rapids....so we all got pretty soaked and the face paint started to run. Wesley hates water on his face so he actually was wiping the water away as fast as he could which basically rubbed his picture off...it was just a mess of white and black paint...so sad! Here we are in all our wet glory. Just and FYI, Rusty doesn't like that ride!There is nothing like hanging out at Lagoon with lots of family! Dax and Rusty even got to hang out together. (Cousins who are 2 weeks apart in age!)

We took Rusty on the Lady bug drop...he hated it! I laughed.

We took Rusty on Puff Roller coaster...he hated it! We took Rusty on the boats and cars that just ride on the ground...Rusty LOVED those!We went up on the huge Ferris Wheel. We being everyone except Shawn and Rusty, they both aren't big fans of being up very high! At the very top, looking down.Josh wouldn't look up, he just bent his head over into his lap the entire time. Getting this picture, with him smiling, was no easy task! Wesley just about did the same thing. Mily was fine, she thought it was great!

We had lots of fun! We're looking forward to being able to go again someday!
