Jr. Jazz

It was kind of a last minute decision to stick Josh in Jr Jazz again this year. He loved it last year but didn't learn as much as we had hoped. A few months before it started this year we got a phone call from a gal in our ward asking if we were going to do put our son in Jr Jazz. It turns out that they were putting a team together with some of the kids in the neighborhood. Shawn and I talked about it and thought it would be a fun experience for Josh to play basketball with his new friends and hopefully learn a bit more about the sport. I was a little nervous about his basketball skills compared to his friends. You can tell in this first picture of the season, Josh is hanging back, and trying not to get in the way. (btw he's #9)But through some amazing coaching and some great friends Joshua has actually got 110% better than last year and has even started to become a real valuable player on the team. This is Josh calmly dribbling the ball down to half court...I love this picture. It's funny to me that the ball looks like its on the ground. Then a few seconds later he charges the ball straight through to his basket. No he didn't make the shot, but he has made 2 baskets this year...compared to last years ZERO!Here is a little bball action for you!

Here is Josh and his crazy group of friends/neighbors that he played with this year! I think Josh should have gotten "most improved" but he got "team player"..which is also true!
