Pumpkin Family

Got Jack? Jack-O-Lantern that is? It's that time of year to make our pumpkin family who will accompany us through this last week of the Halloween season. Everyone always looks forward to this night. First we grab a paper and pencil and figure out what our pumpkin kids will soon look like. The discussion of shapes, sizes and mom's skills are all weighed when coming up with the design. Then Josh begs mom to let dad help him with his (smart kid!) Mom transfers the 'look' to the pumpkin with those amazing skills and then the top of the pumpkin gets opened so the gutting can begin! And the worst part of the night has begun...at least for Emily it has. She actually started to gag! ☻ Rusty was done first....we sort of skipped a few steps with him. We figured he would be much happier that way!

Wesley was next...love his idea of a ghost pumpkin. To bad mom put a colorful light in his pumpkin.Once Mily got over the sticky, slimy, feel of the pumpkin....oh wait, she never did. Mom ended up finishing that part! Mily wanted DIAMOND eyes and nose. Such a girl!Joshua's pumpkin is completely designed, traced and carved by him. Well, dad helped him with a few of the tricky cuts but this one is 99% Joshua...it even has a pair of 'J'*s for the ears...EARS? Yup that's my boy!
