A week in a glance

Party at our house! Shawn's quite the old man now. I get to tease him for the next 7 months until we are the same age again! Well yeah, it's a silly picture, but no kidding, every picture before this had his eyes half-way or completely shut! And this is the kind of picture I get for complaining about it! Then on Wednesday we invited over some cousins for an overnight camp out in our backyard and played night-games. No bears are out tonight was a BIG hit...it's a huge ego-booster when your nephew walks in the door saying "that was the best game EVER!" Thursday we got discount tickets to Lagoon, so we splurged and went again. This time I remembered my camera! The weather was great, not so hot, and it wasn't nearly as crowded as it usually is on the weekend. Friday we got to have our Idaho cousins over for the day while their parents went to lagoon for a date. Their kids were GREAT and so well behaved. It was a nice break for Mily to have girl cousins around. Oh yeah, and surprise apparently Josh can ride a two wheeler now. He's been practicing for a while, but we hadn't been working with him on it! Saturday morning we got up and hiked Ensign peak. Again the weather was perfect, not scorching hot and there was a light breeze at the top. Last time, it felt like we were standing in a hurricane. The kids did well on the hike, beside the usual complains...my legs hurt, are we there yet, I need WATER, and I need to pee! Afterwards we went to Subway and over to Willow Pond Park and ate our lunch. We let the kids play in the fountains and on the playground equipment and then headed home....to do chores.
